New Oklahoma Representative Joins SEARCH Membership
SEARCH is pleased to welcome a new gubernatorial appointee to our Membership Group, representing the state of Oklahoma.
Ms. Debbie McKinney, Director of the Information Services Division, Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI), was appointed to the SEARCH Membership by Oklahoma Governor Mary Fallon on February 13, 2018.
The Information Services Division is comprised of five units: Identification, which manages the OSBI’s fingerprint database; Criminal History Reporting, which manages criminal history record requests; Self Defense Act, which licenses and regulates concealed handgun permits; Field Services Unit, which provides identification training services to local law enforcement agencies; and Crime Data Collection and Analysis, which collects, analyzes, and disseminates criminal justice information and serves as the state’s Statistical Analysis Center (SAC).
Ms. McKinney previously served as a SEARCH Member between 2005 and 2013. She replaces Mr. Bryan Rizzi as SEARCH’s Oklahoma representative.The SEARCH Membership Group, which governs SEARCH, is comprised of one gubernatorial appointee from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the territories, as well as eight at-large appointees selected by SEARCH’s Chair. This national body of state-level professionals is widely representative of the various disciplines within the justice system, and many are responsible for operational decisions and policymaking concerning the management of criminal justice.
