Diane Chin Joins SEARCH as Administrative Assistant
SEARCH is pleased to welcome Ms. Diane L. Chin, who joined our staff as an Administrative Assistant on May 21, 2018.
Ms. Chin provides administrative support to the Executive Director, Director of Operations, and the Programs Division, which consists of the Information Sharing, High-Tech Crime Training Services, and Law and Policy programs.
She also organizes and coordinates activities, such as meetings and workshops; prepares and submits required grant, administrative, and operations reports; coordinates and tracks all in-house and onsite assistance efforts (technical, policy, or operational); conducts opinion and operational surveys; and helps SEARCH conduct major events, such as national conferences, biannual Membership Group meetings, and Symposia.
Ms. Chin previously worked for SEARCH for 22 years (1993–2015), and had served in positions ranging from Receptionist to Administrative Assistant.
“We are thrilled to have Diane rejoin the SEARCH Team,” said Executive Director David Roberts. “She has an exceptional legacy of serving SEARCH Members and supporting Staff and critical programs, and we benefit greatly from her knowledge and enthusiasm.”
In 2011, Ms. Chin earned a certificate for completing the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training’s (POST) Training Administrator Course. A connoisseur of both chocolate and Disneyland, Ms. Chin also operates a home baking business, and is known for her creative and delicious cookies and wedding cakes.
