SEARCH and its cohosting partners, the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA) and the National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA), are finalizing plans for the 2023 SEARCH/JRSA/NCJA Symposium on Justice Information Technology, Policy, Research, and Practice, which kicks off July 24 in Long Beach, CA.
The event takes place July 24–26 at The Westin Long Beach and is also being livestreamed for virtual attendees. Registration for in-person attendance is sold out, but virtual attendance is still open.
The 2023 Symposium features four keynote addresses and 29 workshops and plenary sessions that address key contemporary subjects that impact justice policymakers and practitioners across the nation:

- Gun Violence and Violence Prevention
- Measuring Crime and Justice Operations
- Crisis Response and Alternatives to Incarceration.

Concurrent workshops are held across four tracks: Technology, Policy, Research, and Practice. Plenary sessions and workshops feature recognized subject-matter experts, national thought leaders and operational/policy practitioners from federal, state and local governments, national organizations, and private industry. In addition, the Symposium features an Exhibit Hall of Sponsors and exhibitors.
