The 2023 Symposium on Justice Information Technology, Policy, Research, and Practice wrapped up its successful run July 26 in Long Beach, CA, as the first such event co-hosted by SEARCH, the Justice Research and Statistics Association (JRSA), and National Criminal Justice Association (NCJA).
Nearly 500 justice professionals from all over the country attended the 2 1/2-day Symposium, held July 24–26, 2023, at The Westin Long Beach, with the majority attending in-person and dozens more participating remotely via the Zoom platform.
The event featured four keynote addresses, as well as workshops and plenary sessions that highlighted current and emerging Technology, Policy, Research, and Practice in four key themes: Justice and Policing Reform, Gun Violence and Violence Prevention, Measuring Crime and Justice Operations, and Crisis Response and Alternatives to Incarceration.
