SEARCH has an experienced team of specialists who carry out a range of activities that support our common vision and goals and serve the justice and public safety community nationwide. This includes ensuring that-- justice and public safety decisionmakers have the information they need that is accurate and timely; supported by well-deployed information and identification technology; that promotes privacy; and that is appropriately secured.

These activities include hands-on work like technical assistance, training, specialty workshops and national conferences; resources like justice modeling tools and online reference lists; research and publication of specialized technical, legal and policy reports and guides; and national surveys on justice information issues.
These are carried out through SEARCH's programs, which support the needs of organizations and practitioners in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the territories in the areas of criminal records law and policy; electronic crime investigative training; and information sharing (including improving technology use, public safety communications interoperability, and voice/data integration).
