Curtis M. Wood Joins SEARCH Board of Directors
Mr. Curtis M. Wood, Massachusett’s governor-appointed representative to the SEARCH Membership Group, has moved onto the SEARCH Board of Directors, effective October 30, 2013. He fills a vacancy left by the resignation of Alaska Member David Schade, and will serve the remainder of Mr. Schade’s two-year Board term, which expires in 2015.
Mr. Wood, who serves as Undersecretary of Forensic Science and Technology for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security, has been a SEARCH Member since 2008.
As Undersecretary, he provides strategic leadership and oversight to the State Crime Lab and Forensic Services Group of the State Police, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the Department of Criminal Justice Information Services, the State 911 Department and the Office of Technology and Information Services.
Mr. Wood also directs the development and implementation of statewide justice information sharing strategy for Massachusetts and the state’s participation in the National Public Safety Broadband Network.
