The NICS Improvement Amendments Act Conference is a one-and-one-half-day event that will provide a forum for State criminal history record repositories, courts and other interested entities that are responsible for implementing various provisions of the NIAA.Attendees will identify common problems, share successful strategies for meeting NIAA requirements, and learn about the ongoing and evolving roles of Federal agencies in NIAA implementation. Further, the conference will address the associated NICS Act Record Improvement Program (NARIP) grants.
Also participating in this event will be representatives from BJS, the National Center for State Courts, the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI-NICS, and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
