Colonel David A. Davenport Colonel Davenport (USMCR) is currently assigned to the Houston FBI's Joint Terrorism Task Force (JTTF), Counter-Terrorism Intelligence Group (CTIG) as a subject-matter expert in Counter-Terrorism (CT) issues. He has been assigned to the JTTF CTIG for 16 months and is on long-term loan from Johnson Space Center (NASA), where he has worked as a CT analyst for 17 years. He has over 22 years of Intelligence/Counter-Intelligence experience with the U.S. Marine Corps, including overseas operations during Desert Shield/Desert Storm, Kosovo, and Operation Enduring/Iraqi Freedom. His expertise includes Al-Qaeda, Iran, intelligence, and counter-terrorism planning.
Col. Davenport began his military career as a Marine NROTC graduate of Rice University with degrees in History and Political Science. After active duty in 1989, he joined NASA and has served as its CT representative for over 17 years. He is a graduate of the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) advance program and holds a master's degree in Strategic Intelligence. He is also a graduate of the Naval War College and has multiple senior intelligence tours in joint military commands.
