 October 18 - 20, 2005 Charlotte, North Carolina Hyatt Charlotte www.hyatt.com 5501 Carnegie Blvd. Charlotte, NC 28209-3462 The Hyatt Charlotte hotel is five miles from downtown and the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. Visit the finest shopping, restaurants, theaters and entertainment that the city has to offer, all within walking distance. SouthPark Mall and the Philips Place Shops are just a few of the nearby attractions. Room Rate: $76 single rate, plus 13.5% occupancy tax. RESERVATION DEADLINE: October 1, 2005. Reservations: Call the hotel at (704) 554-1234; mention you are attending the "COPS CONFERENCE" to obtain the discounted rate. Ground Transportation: Taxis and Gold Line Express are available outside of the baggage claim area of the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport. The Hyatt Charlotte recommends using a taxi. For taxi service, the one-way fare is between $25-$30 and the hotel is approximately 15 minutes from the airport. Gold Line Express recommends making reservations in advance so a driver will be waiting for you outside the baggage claim area. November 29 - December 1, 2005 San Diego, California The Westin Horton Plaza www.westin.com 910 Broadway Circle San Diego, CA 92101 Adjacent to the Horton Plaza Shopping and Entertainment Complex, The Westin Horton Plaza is in the heart of downtown San Diego, just minutes to the Gaslamp Quarter and all of San Diego's attractions. Room Rate: $129 single rate, plus 10.545% occupancy tax. RESERVATION DEADLINE: November 4, 2005. Ground Transportation: The Westin recommends either a taxi or a shuttle from San Diego International Airport. A taxi will cost approximately $10 per person, one way. Or go to the Ground Transportation area outside of the airport baggage claim and look for Cloud 9 Shuttle. They offer transportation to the downtown hotels for $6.50 per person one way. (You can also save money by purchasing a round-trip ticket.) They operate 24 hours a day and reservations are not required. |
