Is there a
registration deadline?
Registration for the conferences are accepted on a
first-come, first-served basis. We have maximum seating
for 200 people at each conference. When a conference
becomes full, we will indicate this on our Website. Please
note that each hotel, however, has a specific
“reservation deadline” as indicated in the section Dates,
Locations, Hotels.
Is there a
conference registration fee?
There is no fee to attend this conference.
Who makes my
hotel reservation?
You are responsible for making your own hotel reservation
at the conference hotel. Hotel phone numbers, rates and
deadlines are provided in the section Dates,
Locations, Hotels.
Where will the
meetings be held?
There is one designated hotel for each conference in each
city. Once you receive a conference confirmation notice,
you will be sent the time and location in the hotel to
register onsite and pick up your conference materials.
I would like
to extend my stay before/after the conference - will the
hotel give me the same rate?
You need to check with the hotel. These rates were only
negotiated for the timeframe of the conference. However,
if the hotel has available space, they will usually extend
the rate.
Can vendors
attend a conference?
No, these conferences are designed to be interactive among
law enforcement agencies only. Vendors will not be
permitted to register or attend a conference.
About the Reimbursement…
My Agency is not a
2001 or 2002 COPS MORE Grantee. Can I still request
reimbursement for up to $1,000?
No. Only agencies that are 2001 or 2002 COPS MORE
Grantees are eligible for any reimbursement.
However, you are still welcome to attend a conference.

What happens
if two people from my agency attend the conference and our
combined travel expenses exceed $1,000?
Your agency will receive a check for $1,000 for authorized
expenses after your expenses are submitted to SEARCH. This
will contribute to your combined incurred costs. Your
agency will be responsible for reimbursing the balance of
the individual costs directly. Please refer to the $1,000
Reimbursement guidelines for details.
How much will
my agency be reimbursed if total travel expenses are less
than $1,000, say $650?
Your agency will be reimbursed for the exact amount of
authorized expenses, in this example, $650.
Is there a
limit on the number of individuals from our agency that
may attend the conference?
No, but remember, regardless of the number of attendees
from your agency, the maximum reimbursement amount for
expenses is $1,000.
