SEARCH is pleased to announce three new appointments to the SEARCH Membership Group:

  • Ms. Carol (Renee) Rigby, Assistant Director, Delaware State Police State Bureau of Identification, was appointed on November 17, 2010, by Governor Jack A. Markell.
  • Mr. David Jobes, Assistant Director, Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, Iowa Department of Public Safety, was appointed on March 16, 2011, by Governor Terry E. Branstad.
  • Mr. Michael Lawlor, Under Secretary, Criminal Justice Policy and Planning Division, Connecticut Office of Policy and Management, was appointed on April 1, 2011, by Governor Dannel P. Malloy.

"We're pleased to welcome Ms. Rigby, Mr. Jobes and Mr. Lawlor to the SEARCH Membership. Renee and Dave have previously served on the Membership as alternate Members, so they are already somewhat up to speed on how we operate. We look forward to the valuable expertise and input from each of these new Members," said Mr. Ronald P. Hawley, SEARCH Executive Director.

The SEARCH Membership Group, which governs SEARCH, is comprised of one gubernatorial appointee from each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as eight at-large appointees selected by SEARCH's Chair. This national body of state-level professionals is widely representative of the various disciplines within the justice system, and many are responsible for operational decisions and policymaking concerning the management of criminal justice information, particularly criminal history information. The Membership Group fosters cooperation and communication among justice system professionals in identifying and implementing solutions to common problems.
