Kansas Member David Sim Retires from SEARCH

SEARCH Member Mr. David Sim has retired from the Membership Group, as well as his position as the Assistant Director of the Information Services Division, Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Mr. Sim, who has been Kansas's governor-appointed representative to the SEARCH Membership since 2007, was honored for his achievements at a reception during the Winter Membership Group meeting in Nashville, Tennessee, on February 23, 2010. He was also presented with awards from Mr. Daniel Roberts, Criminal Justice Information Services Division, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Ms. Liane Moriyama, SEARCH Hawaii Member and Chair, National Crime Prevention and Privacy Compact Council.

During his tenure as the Kansas representative on the SEARCH Membership Group, Mr. Sim served as Chair of the Ad Hoc Committee to Develop Membership Meeting Materials Regarding the Attorney General's Report on Criminal History Background Checks, and Member of the National Focus Group on Emergency Housing and Criminal Record Checks: The Hurricane Katrina Experience.
