Longtime SEARCH Communications Staff Expands Duties

Jane L. Bassett
Jane has a long history with SEARCH, beginning her service in 1986 as a Secretary in the Systems and Technology department. It soon became apparent her skills were best put to use as a graphic designer, and she took on the role of Publishing Assistant in 1987.
Among her many accomplishments over the years is her role as lead graphic designer of SEARCH's Tech Guide series.
Ms. Bassett has 27 years' experience in publishing. She began her career in 1982 as a typesetter at Fruitridge Printing, one of Sacramento's largest printing companies, where she learned typography and page layout. In 1983 she began working at The Daily Recorder, a legal newspaper in Sacramento. She advanced to Typesetting Supervisor and was instrumental in helping the newspaper move from a photodisplay type system to a digital system for type output.
"Jane has been a dedicated employee of SEARCH for nearly 23 years, and I am pleased she will continue to be an integral part of our team," said Corporate Communications Manager Twyla Putt.
