New Public Safety Technology Specialist Joins SEARCH
Joseph Noce Jr. joined SEARCH July 1 as a Public Safety Technology Specialist. In this position, he provides technical assistance to public safety agencies nationwide in automated systems development, planning and integration of communications and information technology, and communications interoperability and wireless issues.
Mr. Noce previously was 800 MHz Project Manager-Sworn for the Mesa (Arizona) Police Department, where he was responsible for maintaining state-of-the-art public safety communication systems for the City of Mesa. His responsibilities included strategic planning and operational aspects of emergency management, computer-aided dispatch and public safety telephony and radio capability. He was involved in planning and implementing mitigation alternatives to ensure emergency communications capabilities at all times.
Mr. Noce's previous experience includes criminal investigations, intelligence gathering and risk assessment for the Sedgwick County (Kansas) Sheriff's Department, Mesa Police Department, Sun Refining & Marketing and the Mesa Fire Department. He is an active participant in the Project 25 Standards process and a member of the Association of Public Safety Communications Officials-International and the National Emergency Number Association. In addition, he is certified as an Arizona Peace Officer, Emergency Management Professional, Emergency Number Professional and Explosives Ordnance Disposal Professional. Mr. Noce has a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice from Arizona State University, Tempe, and a master's degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
