Lt. Thomas Turner

Francis X. (Paco) Aumand III (Vermont) was elected SEARCH Chair, and Lt. Thomas Turner (Virginia), was elected Vice Chair. Due to recent changes in SEARCH leadership caused by the retirement of Gerry Wethington (Missouri), the positions of both Chair and Vice Chair were available, and elections were held at the SEARCH January Membership Meeting to fill the unexpired terms of both positions. Their terms will run through July 2006.

Mr. Aumand has been a SEARCH Member since January 1996. He is Director of Criminal Justice Services, Vermont Department of Public Safety. During his tenure with SEARCH, he has served on the Law and Policy Program Advisory Committee (PAC) and Planning Committee, as Vice Chair and Chair of the Law and Policy PAC, and as a Member of the Board of Directors.

Lt. Turner was elected as Vice Chair fill the position vacated by Mr. Aumand. Lt. Turner has been a Member since October 2000. He is Assistant Records Officer, Criminal Justice Information Services, Virginia State Police. He is a member of the Law & Policy PAC and chairs the PROTECT Act Ad Hoc Advisory Committee.
